Is ChatCaddy made by Whatnot?
No. ChatCaddy is an independent Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot.
Where does my chat data go?
Chat messages are processed and stored in your own browser. Logs are kept for 24 hours so you can export them, then deleted. If you add a Jev API key, message text and a little recent chat context (including usernames) are sent to typesafe.ai for classification. Without a key, chat stays in your browser.
Do I need an API key?
No. The free plan sorts chat with built-in rules that run locally. Adding your own Jev key upgrades classification with AI. Pro will include AI classification with no key needed.
